Glendo State Park, WY

Glendo State Park is located in Glendo, Wyoming. It is well known for recreational activities, including boating, fishing, and camping. The sanitary sewer from the park visitors is collected through a gravity sewer system and conveyed to a lagoon for treatment.

Bai Engineers (BE) was tasked to conduct sewer flow monitoring at three locations to provide an understanding of the existing sewer flow condition to the treatment lagoon including sewer loading rate, peak flow rate, and lift station discharge frequency. These data will assist the sizing considerations of the existing treatment lagoon.

The flow monitoring has provided a good understanding of the sewer flow characteristics at the park, which are summarized as: 

• Significant high peak flow.
• High sewer usage. 
• I&I issue.
